Medal in honor of Gen. Charles George "Chinese" Gordon [manuscript] 1885.

A note from William Wyllie to John Cook Wyllie explains that the pattern was made by a sculptor named McGilvary, of Glasgow, for the McInnes Brothers in 1886, shortly after Gordon's death at Khartoum. Wyllie was an apprentice in the firm at that time and notes that not a great many were struck.
